Film set hunting
May 19, 2016
So a few days ago a full on film crew and equipment rocked up at Tesco Hattersley. Well actually no one seems to have seen them come. Did they magically appear over night? They did have a bus, maybe it was by way of the Knight Bus!
There were signs directing the crew to where the locations were and I thought it would be rude (considering our background/pure noisiness) not to go and investigate!
These are the vans, including the catering, parked at Tesco this week
So me, Skylar, Buster and Prince with Barnacle in tow set off up Werneth Low, determined to find something.
We walked for a while till we found more vans (there's a definite theme here, lots of vans!) behind the trees.
Sadly as you can see, me and Skylar are no good whats so ever at stealth photography. I would have been better going over and saying 'can I have a photo please?' But I am far to star struck and get giddy. I would have spoken far more gibberish than I normally do! So we walked on where we next met a 'man-working-on-road-with-a-stop-go-sign' (that was his title in the script, i'm sure of it) who Prince decided to bark at which meant we had a conversation. May or may not have stopped the scene as a little further up the car with a fancy camera rig on the front was driving towards us. Oops.
Here's the car with the fancy camera rig, which you cant see as yet again Stealth Photography isn't my forte. It really was there, we even saw the actress get out who Barnacle was desperate to get too, and who I cant for the life of me remember who it is!
Any way, everything is gone today from Tesco. They are experts in Stealth, unlike myself, or they were on the Knight Bus again.
Here is what we know so far, or what we think we know. Its a drama called In The Dark written by local writing talent Daniel Brocklehurst and it's being made by the BBC. I can assure you if they do come back again, I'll be there to report back!
